Milestone Cheats for Need for Speed: Most Wanted

"Need for Speed: Most Wanted" allows you to race a variety of cars through open-city environments in an effort to cause property damage, evade police and defeat other outlaw drivers. Before qualifying to face the 15 Black Listed drivers, you must achieve certain milestones, like crashing into a specific number of police cars, earning a certain number of photo speeding tickets and extending pursuits for a predetermined amount of time. There are no quick cheats, and the exact number of milestones and their specific requirements vary for each Black Listed driver, but you can exploit certain areas to achieve milestones.

Highway 99
- Once engaged in a police chase, you can head to Highway 99, also known as the Rosewood outer ring road, to rack up some easy milestones. Highway 99 contains plenty of room to run and evade the authorities, allowing you to collect collision, speeding and pursuit milestones. If the police get too close, head to the stadium and crash through the sign to lose your pursuit cars. The stadium also contains a hiding zone where you can wait for the heat to die down.
Docks
- The docks provide another ideal location for evading police. Drive through the area with the boat to achieve easy milestones. The police won't set up roadblocks or drop spike strips during dock pursuits, meaning you can extend chases for as long as necessary to reach your desired achievements, whether that means trading paint with rivals or piling up speeding tickets and extended pursuit times. A covered tunnel behind the boat area also serves as a place to hide from aggressive cops.
Bus Station
- Extending chases helps reach difficult milestones, especially when the achievements deal with total evasion time. If you need to stretch out a chase or get away from pesky police, race to the bus station. Crash through the station's glass window and then head up the ramp to the left, driving out on top of the lined up buses. Move all the way to the front edge of the first bus so the police can still see you and continue the pursuit, even though they won't follow you up onto the buses. Stay on the buses as long as you want. If a police car does venture up there with you, simply reverse into the police cruiser and bump it off the bus. When you want to leave the buses, reverse away from the edge and wait for the police to leave.
First Gear
- After reaching Pursuit Level 4 or higher, switch to your fastest car. However, instead of trying to outrun the police, start a chase in first gear. Your car should be able to reach speeds of only between 40 and 80 mph. The ploy confuses the police, making them uncertain what to do. Now you can wander around aimlessly and lead the police cars wherever you want. This trick allows you to achieve all milestones with ease except, of course, for those requiring you to speed.
