Locked Crate
Towards the end of Chapter Three, you must use found sections of pipe to repair a broken valve system. Once fixed, the valve system emits steam that fogs up a mirror and reveals a clue. But to clear the next part of the chapter, you need to go to the baggage hold and figure out the combination on a locked crate. To open the lock, click on the numbers in the following sequence: 1-6-0-7-6-7. Take the shroud from inside the crate and hang it over the ventilation shaft to set off an alarm. Now return to the Overlook area and click on the mirror to end the chapter.
Card Game
When Chapter Four opens, you must chat with an old woman named Odette to trigger your next puzzle, a type of card game that requires you to arrange cards in their appropriate slots on a table. A clock at the center of the table provides the key to the solution. The clock's hour hand points to the number of the next card to play, while the minute hand indicates one of four stationary kings in order to determine the card's suit. The clock also has a red hand that points either up or down, showing which side of the table to place the card. The game randomizes the puzzle each time, but knowing the trick about the clock hands will always provide the correct solution.
Wheel Room
In Chapter 15, you must solve two puzzles in the Wheel Room. The first puzzle asks you to arrange 10 keys on a pegboard in the correct order. If you number the keys 1 through 10 moving left to right, place keys 2, 10, 5, 3 and 4 left to right across the pegboard's top row. Fill the second row, left to right, with keys 7, 8, 6, 1 and 9. Now, turn to the room's back wall and find a panel with rows of green and red lights. Four switches line each side of the panel. To solve the puzzle, you must flip four switches in the correct order to activate the panel. The correct solution involves flipping the switches on the panel's left side from top to bottom.
Bonus Level
Successfully completing Chapter 15 completes the game and activates a "Bonus" option on the main menu. Clicking "Bonus" triggers a special level set 97 years later. Explore the Captain's Sitting Room to find a bunch of push pins. Placing the pins on the back wall's map opens a puzzle. Simply stick the pins into the map to designate a safe voyage through the ice to solve the puzzle. To clear the bonus level, you must also assemble 10 torn pieces of paper to read a message and use an acetylene torch to weld 10 rivets into the damaged hull.
