Dodonga
The game's first major boss, Dodonga is a black and blue dragon with a spiked forehead. Dodonga utilizes three distinctive attacks: headbutting, breathing fire and the ability to eat your Patapon. You must play the "Chaka Chaka Pata Pon" defense song before Dodonga unleashes its headbutt attack, which inflicts serious damage. After defending against the headbutt, press the attack until Dodonga retreats and goes to sleep. Track Dodonga down and finish the fight with more knockback attacks.
Kacchindonga
A more powerful version of Dodonga, Kacchindonga is an ice dragon that only appears when it snows at the Dongara Ruins. Instead of breathing fire, Kacchindonga freezes opponents with his breath, leaving foes vulnerable to other attacks. Use the "Pon Chaka" song and then the "Chaka Chaka" song to withstand the damage. Come equipped with fire-based weapons and fire-based armor to counter Kacchindonga's icy nature and take advantage of its vulnerability to heat.
Fenicci
Resembling a phoenix, Fenicci is a giant bird engulfed in flame. Fenicci attacks with fiery sleeping gas and uses its wings to summon deadly tornadoes. While a great strength, Fenicci's flames also serve as its biggest weakness. Use ice-based freezing weapons to cool off Fenicci and inflect the most damage possible.
Darantula
One of the game's spider-like bosses, Darantula's pink and purple appearance belies its lethal attacks that include sleeping gas and a nasty tail skewer. Run for cover as soon as you see Darantula twirl its tail behind its body. For the best results, focus your attacks on Darantula's head and use fire-based weapons, such as fire bows.
Manboroth
Manboroth, a massive mammoth, serves as one of the game's toughest foes. Impervious to ice, Manboroth blows freezing winds in straight gusts or arcing streams. Use fire-based weapons and take advantage of Manboroth's imposing size and lack of speed. Staggering Manboroth causes it to drop quality meat.
Cioking
A crab-like monster, Cioking favors fast, aggressive attacks with its large pincer claws and can light foes on fire by touching them. Cioking also spews bubbles that suffocate patapon. Use the "Don Chaka" song to protect against the bubbles and employ ice weapons to chill the crab's fiery temper.
