Bubbles
The Bible verse, ̶0;The Lilies of the Field,̶1; says ̶0;not to worry and to put your trust in God.̶1; Take the children outside and give them bottles of bubbles. Tell them to blow small and large bubbles. Explain to the children that the bubbles represent small and big worries. Tell them that when we live faith by God, all our worries, big and small, will disappear just as the bubbles do. Ask each child to blow bubbles and pretend they are his worries, and then pop each one to make his worries disappear.
Easter Lily Craft
Help your Sunday school class make Easter lilies. Tell the children that the white lily represents pureness, which is sinless like Jesus. Print the flower head of a white lily on white paper and have the children cut the flower heads out of the paper. Have the children poke a hole in the middle of the flower and slide the flower head onto a straw, all the way to one end. Give the children green construction paper to cover the straw, which will create the stem of the flower.
Stones
Give each child a small, smooth stone that will fit in his pocket. Polished smooth stones, such as gemstones, are available at most craft stores and online. Each child can use a paint pen to write ̶0;Do Not Worry, Matthew 6:25̶1; on the stone. Tell the children to place the stone in their pockets. Anytime they worry about something, they should stick their hand in the pocket and grab their stone. They can rub the stone to rub their worries away. For added decoration, allow the children to decorate the other side of their stones using the paint pens.
Worries
Ask the children to sit in a circle and select one child to go first. Tell each person to go around the room and share one worry they might have, such as getting a bad grade on homework, the way they look, other children liking you or not doing well in a certain sport. After the children tell their worries, they can write their worries down on index cards. Before the class dismisses, ask the children to toss their worries in the trash. Tell them that the worries are now trash and they should not worry about them anymore.
