Question Games
Question games involve going around in a circle and asking the adults in the small group questions that they have to answer. These types of games are amusing because the questions are designed to be quirky or revealing, so the adults in the game get to learn interesting things about one another. Questions can have a theme if there is a particular reason for the adult party, such as an upcoming holiday. One way to ask the questions is to write the questions on pieces of paper and place them into a hat that everyone blindly selects from. Adults playing the game must answer the questions honestly.
Drawing Games
Have one or two people draw the image of something and other adults at the party must guess what they're drawing. The game should be based on a theme. For instance, if this is an adult Christmas party, the pictures being drawn should be relevant to Christmas, such as images of reindeer, Santa or ornaments. Drawing games for a small adult party can also have adult-themed content if the adults are celebrating, for instance, someone's bachelorette party.
Acting Games
Acting games are appropriate for playing indoors because they get adults out of their chairs and moving around. An acting game, such as charades, is entertaining in that one person acts out something without speaking and the other adults at the party must guess whether the person is portraying a particular character, movie or song. To make the game even more entertaining, have people use props, such as hats, canes, clothing and other small items.
Prediction Games
Adults arriving at the party make one or two predictions about what will happen during the party. For instance, among friends who know each other well, one friend might predict that the other friend at the party will drink too much and start singing. Another person might predict that two of the guests get caught kissing. At the end of the party, the host or hostess reads off the guests' predictions and everyone gets to see which predictions came true.
