Cheats for the Codex Wall in Assassin's Creed II

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, "Assassin's Creed II" for the Xbox 360 and PS3 continues the story of the original title, allowing you to play as Desmond Miles, a modern-day bartender  who, thanks to virtual technology, travels back in time to 15th-century Italy to live the experiences of his assassin ancestor Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Throughout the game, you'll guide Ezio on numerous missions, assassinating rivals and corrupt politicians. Your travels lead you to encounter one particularly challenging puzzle: the Codex Wall. Yet knowing a few simple tips will make the daunting wall another in your long list of victims.
  1. Requirements

    • Memory Sequence 14 contains the Codex Wall. However, before you can undertake the sequence you must possess the 30 codex pages. Simply arriving at this point of the game provides you with 14 of the pages. If you haven't found the other 16 pages throughout your various missions, you now need to go back and collect them all. Your maps display each page's location. You can find six pages in Venice, five pages in Florence, three pages in Forli and two pages in Tuscany.

    Location

    • After you have all the codex pages, proceed with Memory Sequence 14 and travel to the Villa Monteriggioni to have Leonardo translate the pages. Leonardo resides in the same downstairs room as Claudia and the architect. Now go across the hall to speak with Mario and to begin the challenge.

    Function

    • Place the 30 translated codex pages on the wall, arranging them in five rows of six pages. You must move the pages around to form a picture to solve the puzzle. At first you may not be able to notice any details capable of forming a picture. Activate your Eagle Vision to see glowing red outlines on the pages. Now you should be able to see the pattern easier.

    Considerations

    • In solving the Codex Wall, start with the outer edges. All the outer pages contain a straight red line that forms a square border, making it easy to string them together. After you have the border complete, work your way in towards the center. Moving around the pages should allow you to realize the ultimate picture is a map of the world. Keep adjusting the page locations until you piece together a recognizable map of the continents. When you have the map completed, the game triggers a cut scene to indicate you've finished your objective. You can now talk to Mario again to receive your next assignment.
