Arm and Hand Games
Arm-wrestling is one of the most common two-person strength games. Players sit across from one another at a table, place their right elbows on the surface and right hands palm to palm, and then try to pin the other player's arm to the table using just the strength of their forearms. Thumb-wrestling is a scaled-down version in which players grip each other's fingers and try to pin the other player's thumb using only the strength of their own thumb.
Leg and Foot Games
Foot-wrestling is a variation of arm-wrestling that uses your legs instead of your arms. Players stand on one leg with their arms behind their backs and try to use their free leg to push over their opponent. Leg-wrestling is another variation played while lying on the floor. Players lie head to toe and lock their legs at the knee. The object is to flip your opponent into a reverse somersault using only the strength of your leg.
Chest and Back Games
"Struggle" is a two-player strength game that tests chest strength. Two players face each other with their arms out to their sides and lock fingers. You must try to push your opponent over a predetermined line by pressing against him with your chest. "Straight Back" tests your neck and back strength, instead. One player lies flat on the ground while another player lifts up his head. The object is to keep your back completely straight until you have reached an upright position.
Miscellaneous Games
There are many games of strength for two players that utilize all of your muscles. Sports such as wrestling, boxing and martial arts test a participant's strength as well as his dexterity, agility and reflexes to see who is the better fighter. Strength is a requirement for many two-player sports, such as tennis, bowling, horseshoes and even tetherball. Likewise, many team games that test strength, such as tug of war, can be played between two players.
