Cheats for Commander: Conquest of the Americas

In the PC game "Commander: Conquest of the Americas," you pick from seven different European nations and attempt to colonize the Americas, assembling naval fleets, establishing sea trade routes and brokering deals with political rivals. While it doesn't include any official cheats, the game does have an extensive list of unlockable Steam achievements that can then be viewed on the Steam website under "Community," "My Profile" and "View all my games." Steam achievements are a global achievement system that includes numerous platforms and games, allowing gamers to track their progress on various titles.

Combat
- Despite placing great emphasis on strategy and political negotiations, the game does involve naval combat and rewards you for excellence in battle. For instance, winning 20 tactical battles without losing a single ship wins the "Battle King" achievement. Boarding and capturing 10 ships earns the "Boarder" award. Sinking 40 enemy ships in a single game wins the "Feed the Fishes" achievement. Winning a battle without taking any damage to any of your ships unlocks the "Indestructible" award, and sinking 20 pirate ships earns the "Pirate Slayer" achievement.
Sailing
- You can win achievements for successfully completing naval voyages. Making 100 trips to your home port wins the "Home Runner Bronze" award. Making 1,000 trips to your home port wins "Home Runner Silver." Making 10,000 trips to your home port earns the "Home Runner Gold." Visiting five ports with at least 200 passengers from your home port and then returning home safely unlocks the "Holiday Cruise" award.
Colonizing
- Developing successful colonies unlocks several different achievements. Building your first colony earns the "Founding Father" award. Sustaining a colony with more than 100,000 colonists wins the "Colonizer" award. Establishing 10 colonies in a single game unlocks the "Emperor of the New World" achievement, and placing a colony in every territory wins the "Home Maker" award.
Trading
- Becoming a savvy trader also wins achievements like the "Sweet Tooth," which comes with importing 1,000 tons of sugar to your home port. Importing 1,000 units of cigars wins the "Royal Cuban Cigars" award. Importing 1,000 units of rum earns the "Rhumsey Rhum" award. Acquiring 30 trade ships, three trade routes and five trade stops earns the "Delra" achievement.
War and Peace
- Waging war or preserving peace can also win you achievements. Declaring war 20 times earns the "Warmonger" award. Defeating three enemy nations captures the "Warlord" achievement. Conducting wars with all other nations at once garners the "Masters of War" achievement. Yet peace can also be rewarding. Becoming allies with all other nations unlocks the "Pax Atlantica" award. Winning the game without attacking an enemy colony or fleet earns the "Peace Is Our Business" award, and if you can survive 20 years without waging war, you'll earn the "Peace Maker" award.
