Card Games
Card games incorporate random number generating functions with elements of skill. Random number card games range from poker to high card and war. To play a simple game of high card, shuffle a deck of cards with your opponent sitting across from you. From here, deal one card to your opponent and another card to you face up. The high card wins the other player's card. Continue to play until one player has all of the cards and is the winner.
Dice Games
Dice games use random numbers and figures to create new winners each time. In gambling, craps is a popular random number game that combines luck and skill. If you are not at a casino or do not have a craps table, a simple game to play with friends is called "beat that." Using three die, roll them out onto a table. Put them together to make the highest number possible. For example, if you roll a four, six and three, you would write 643. From here, challenge the next player in the game to beat your score. The player with the highest score after several rounds wins.
Computer-Based Games
Computer-based games use random number generators to create guessing games for kids and adults alike. A basic random number game requires you to guess a number between zero and a set number. Once you guess and click "send," the computer will tell you if the number it is thinking of is higher or lower than the one you guessed. The goal is to guess the right number in as few guesses as possible.
Coin Games
Coin games are often used to resolve a situation that must be settled fairly and randomly. As a result, a coin toss is brought in at the beginning of a football game to decide who is returning the kick and in which direction. To play a simple coin toss game, flip a coin in the air. As you do so, call out heads or tails. Once the coin lands in your hand, flip it onto the top of your other hand. Reveal the coin to see if you or your friend got the coin to land on your side.
