Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Secrets for PS3

In "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow" for the PS3, you play as Gabriel Belmont, a member of the Brotherhood of Light, an organization dedicated to protecting humanity from the evil Dark Lords. Throughout the game, you'll have to battle vampires, werewolves and creepy skeletons. The game includes several secrets, including unlockable achievements, to aid you on your quest.

Cheat Mode
- At the game's introductory screen, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle and X to access the Cheat mode, which unlocks a list of five cheats. You'll now be able to select All Relics, All Combos, All Gems, All Upgrades and No Damage. However, using any of the cheats prevents you from winning any achievement trophies or from saving the game.
Trophies
- You can win 18 individual achievement trophies for successfully completing trials, for collecting gems or for acquiring experience points. For example, buying 15 combos earns the Brawler trophy. Finishing all levels on Knight difficulty wins the Crusade trophy. Gathering all 30 Life Gems earns the Green Collector trophy. Acquiring 100,000 experience points wins the Veteran trophy. Of the 18 trophies, two are gold, six are silver and 10 are bronze.
Secret Trophies
- Aside from the standard achievements, the game includes secret trophies awarded for completing various trials or for accomplishing certain feats in each story chapter. You can win the Chapter I trophy for defeating the Ice Titan. Acquiring the power of the first Dark Lord wins the Chapter III trophy. Killing the Crow Witch earns the Chapter IV trophy. Completing all the trials in any given chapter wins a silver Trials trophy for that respective chapter. All told, the game has 12 bronze secret trophies and 12 silver hidden trophies. If you earn all 18 standard trophies and all 24 hidden trophies, you'll win the Platinum trophy, the game's ultimate award.
DLC Trophies: Reverie
- "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow" offers additional downloadable content, or DLC, to extend the story. The first DLC installment, Reverie, includes six more trophies. The two bronze trophies are the Skirmish, which requires you to finish the new levels in Squire difficulty, and the Gest, which requires you to finish the levels in Warrior difficulty. The four silver trophies are the Crusade, which requires you to beat the levels on Knight difficulty; the Epic, which requires you to beat the levels on Paladin difficulty; the Master of the Reliquary, which you win for finding all of Frankenstein's fingers; and the Trials trophy, won for completing all the new levels' trials.
DLC Trophies: Resurrection
- The game's second downloadable content installment, Resurrection, contains five trophies. Once again, you win the bronze Skirmish and Gest trophies for beating the new levels on Squire and Warrior difficulty, respectively. You earn the silver Crusade trophy for beating the new levels on Knight difficulty and the silver Epic trophy for beating the levels on Paladin difficulty. Completing all the new trials earns the silver Trials trophy.
