Help With the Sprill & Ritchie Game

Sprill the fox and Ritchie the squirrel star in "Sprill and Ritchie: Adventures in Time," a hidden-object video game that sees the two heroes traveling back and forth through time to repair the damage of an experiment gone wrong. The game includes 33 levels and 55 mini-games, all designed to test your powers of observation and to challenge your brain. Knowing a few tips can help you solve even the most daunting puzzles.
  1. Symbols

    • Know what the various game symbols mean. Your cursor will turn into a hand icon when it passes an item you can pick up and add to your inventory. A magnifying glass means you can take a closer look at that specific item. If you notice an area of the screen getting sparkly, it indicates you can interact with something in that area or that you should use an item in your inventory on that particular spot.

    Take Your Time

    • The game doesn't impose time limits, so there's no need to rush. Be patient and think through the problem. Clicking randomly on the screen will only cause bubbles to cover the screen and obscure your view, preventing you from picking up objects for several seconds.

    Pay Attention

    • Sprill and Ritchie engage in conversations between scenes. Pay close attention to what they say. They often reveal clues about what you'll have to do next. And if you miss the dialogue, there's no way to go back and replay the exchange, so listen carefully.

    Level 1

    • In Level 1, you must find and collect 13 food items hidden somewhere on the screen. The windowsill also holds a tube of glue you'll need later, so add it to your inventory. Lifting the apple off the piggy bank will cause the bank to fall and shatter, initiating a mini-game requiring you to piece together the broken bank. Once you have all the food items, drag them over to the scale to trigger a sandwich-making mini-game.

    Level 2

    • Level 2 challenges you to find all 14 pieces of a torn diagram. Don't forget to click on the adhesive tape to add it to your inventory. Once you've found all the diagram pieces, drag the adhesive tape to the pieces to trigger a mini-game in which you must repair the shredded diagram. Pay attention to the length of your tape when joining pieces.

    Cracken

    • In Level 4, you'll encounter a mini-game featuring a giant sea monster, or Cracken. You need to shoot the Cracken's arms in the exact order in which they rise out of the water. If you shoot its arms in the incorrect order, the Cracken will laugh and shake the screen.
