Green Day: Rock Band Cheats

Another installment in the wildly popular Rock Band series of video games, "Green Day: Rock Band" features the three-piece alternative rock group Green Day, letting you play along to 47 music tracks, including such hits as "Basket Case" and "American Idiot." The game features 49 achievement trophies you can win for accomplishing certain tasks.

Bronze Trophies
- Bronze trophies comprise the vast majority of awards, accounting for 34 of the 49 trophies. If you manage to score 1 million points during a single song, you'll win the It Keeps Adding Up trophy. Earning three stars on any song in Expert difficulty wins the I Threw My Crutches in the River trophy. Using overdrive 100 times as a vocalist captures the Scream at Me Until My Ears Bleed trophy. Completing the "Dookie" album challenge with any instrument wins the Freaky Monkey trophy. The remaining 30 bronze trophies serve as rewards for similar accomplishments, from high-point scores to flawless performances and career achievements.
Silver Trophies
- The game features 12 silver trophies, each awarded for completing slightly more difficult tasks. For example, earning three stars with any instrument on all songs in the game earns the We've Come So Far silver trophy. Earning five stars on every song from the "American Idiot" album wins the Award-Winning Idiot trophy. Playing "Longview" on bass while on either Hard or Expert difficulty and not strumming during the hammer-ons or pull-offs earns the It's Fun Until Someone Gets Hurt trophy. Completing all of drummer Tre Cool's greatest hits wins the A Very Troubled Youngster trophy. Accomplishing similar feats will capture the remaining eight silver trophies.
Gold Trophies
- You can win only two gold trophies, and they each require significant accomplishments. Earning five stars with any instrument on every song in the game wins the You Had the Time of Your Life trophy. And if you start a new game as part of a four-player band and reach the end credits within 12 hours, you'll capture the coveted Won't Make It for Dinner trophy.
Platinum Trophy
- In the music industry, musicians earn a platinum record for selling 1 million copies, marking a tremendous achievement. In "Green Day: Rock Band," collecting all 48 other trophies will earn you the game's only platinum award, the Good Riddance trophy, signaling you've accomplished all there is to accomplish in the game.
