How to Fold a Paper Football Triangle

Paper football, also called finger football, is a popular school game that requires a "football" formed out of notebook paper. The shape of the football resembles a triangle, giving a solid surface for flicking and a weight distribution that allows it to tumble. Paper footballs, by nature, are somewhat imperfect; each one has its own peculiarities based on the the type of notebook paper used to form the paper football triangle.

Instructions

    • 1

Fold your notebook paper in half longways, forming a long rectangular piece of paper.

    • 2

Separate the two halves along the newly formed seam. Cutting the seam ensures a perfect edge, but tearing will suffice if scissors are not available.

    • 3

Place one half of the original sheet of notebook paper in front of you, and dispose of or recycle the other half.

    • 4

Fold down one corner of your rectangular shaped notebook paper, bringing the top edge all the way down to the side. This forms the basis of your paper triangle football.

    • 5

Fold the triangle down repeatedly, continuing to make the triangle shape thicker. Do this until you run out of excess paper to create more triangles.

    • 6

Tuck the remaining paper edge into the pocket of your paper triangle football, forming a true symmetrical triangle.
