How to Fix a Carrom Stick Hockey Table

A carrom stick hockey table works similar to a pool table. One of the key differences are the shape of the carrom pieces. While billiards have a round shape and roll round the table, carrom pieces have a flat shape and rely completely on a smooth, low-friction surface to move. Any problems with the table directly effects the carrom pieces' ability to move by adding unnecessary friction or disrupting the even surface. Clean your table on a regular basis with carrom table supplies and always check to see if the table stands completely parallel with the floor.

Instructions

    • 1

Place a level on the surface of the carrom board and determine whether or not the table sits parallel with the floor. If so, no structural problems exist with the board. If slightly off, try moving the board to another location since the ground, not the board, may not lay even.

    • 2

Tighten the carrom board table legs with a screw driver if the table stands wobbly. If the table still stands uneven after tightening the legs, add playing cards underneath problematic legs until the table sits parallel with the floor.

    • 3

Wipe down the carrom board with a dry towel to remove dirt and other debris that affects friction and the trajectory of the carrom pieces. Thereafter, spray furniture polish and wipe down for a smooth and slippery surface.

    • 4

Lightly dust your carrom table with carrom board powder. This is a specially formulated powder make specifically for carrom tables (do not use another powder, such as talcom powder, as a substitute). Spread with several of the carrom pieces until you even distribute the powder.
