Cheats for the Game Sherlock Holmes Hound of the Baskervilles

Based on the classic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel, "Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles" is a puzzle video game for the PC that challenges you to solve the mystery behind the death of Henry Baskerville's father. Holmes and his trusted sidekick Dr. Watson must travel to the Baskerville estate to search for clues and piece together the truth of the family curse. The game's puzzles, which mainly involve scouring rooms for hidden objects, can confound even the best detectives, so knowing a few cheats can assist the investigation.

Coat of Arms
- Some of the game's puzzles require you to assemble a Baskerville family member's Coat of Arms. You can find the five pieces to complete Rodger's Coat of Arms on the steps on the right side of the Portrait Hall, in the mouth of the dragon in the Secret Garden, on the ground on the left side of the Secret Garden, on the left side of the desk in Rodger's room and on the werewolf in the Secret Garden.
Rodger's Room Items
- Rodger's Room contains a number of valuable items to collect. First, pick up the book on the table in the middle of the room. The book will serve as your map for the rest of the game, allowing you to see pending tasks and to travel quickly from one point to another. The other items you need to collect are the red curtain ribbon from the table, the crossbow piece on the drawer, the paper on the floor, the horn leaning against the chair and the yellow crystal eye on the low left side of the table.
Rodger's Room Solution
- Use the curtain ribbon to click on the left curtain of the far left window. Now click on the window to reveal a hidden-object scene, which will in turn present you with an oiler. Clicking on the fireplace will then let you oil three rusty spots. Afterwards, you can use a pitcher of water to extinguish the fire and collect the piece of coal. Once you click the lever to exit the scene, you'll discover a hidden passage below the fireplace that leads to the Secret Garden.
Secret Garden
- Enter the Secret Garden and use your knife to click the vine in the upper right corner two times to open a puzzle. You'll need to click tiles to solve the puzzle and reveal an image of a winged man. Completing the image will produce a key that open's the dragon's mouth and presents a piece of Rodger's Coat of Arms. From there, grab the rag behind the unicorn's head and clean the spilled whiskey off the ground to get the rag damp, then scrub the mossy wooden board. Placing paper on the board and rubbing it with coal produces a strange sign, which you can keep in your inventory for later. You'll find another piece of Rodger's Coat of Arms in front of the Minotaur, while inserting the horn into the Minotaur's head opens the creature's hand and reveals a yellow crystal eye.
