Game Cheats for Castlevania for the PlayStation 3

In "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow" for the PS3, you assume the role of Gabriel Belmont, a member of the Brotherhood of Light. Belmont embarks on a quest to find a mystical object that can reportedly bring his dead wife back to life. Along the way, Belmont must fight zombies, werewolves, vampires and all other assorted monsters. Employing a few cheats can enhance game play and unlock hidden trophies and achievements.

Cheat Menu
- Whenever a level is loading, you can input UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, CIRCLE, X to unlock a secret cheat menu under "Extra Options." The various cheats will allow you to discover all relics, activate all combos, discover magic gems, discover weapon upgrades and possess invincibility. But be warned, using the cheats will prevent you from saving the game or from earning special trophies and achievements.
Experience Cheats
- Defeating enemies allows you to gain experience and boost your skills, but there's a trick to gain quick experience points. Once you reach Chapter 6: Part 4, The Refectory, go and kill the Evil Butcher to earn 1,000 experience points, but don't take his key. Now hit Start and choose "Reload Last Checkpoint." This will place you back into the Quick Time Event aspect of your previous fight, allowing you to kill the Butcher again. Keep repeating the same process over and over to stockpile all the experience points you want.
  
  The same trick works at other points throughout the game as well. In Chapter 2: Part 7, kill the Stone Titan at the Sanctuary entrance to earn 1,000 experience points and then restart from the last checkpoint to fight him again. Or in Chapter 1: Part 3, reach the goblin camp in the Dead Bog and simply keep killing goblins, allowing them to respawn over and over until you hit the tree with two bombs.
Trophies
- The game includes dozens of hidden trophies that can be unlocked when successfully completing certain tasks. For example, finding all the secret Brotherhood Arks earns the Master Improver Trophy. Gathering the hidden Magic Gems wins the Master Jeweler Trophy. Completing all the game's numerous trials will capture the Master Achiever Trophy. Some of the other unlockable awards include the Epic Victory Trophy, the Eleventy Trophy and the Dark Collector Trophy.
Metal Gear Solid
- "Castelvania: Lords of Shadow" even includes a tip of the cap to another classic video game franchise, "Metal Gear Solid." Completing the game on any difficulty level will unlock the costume for Snake, Metal Gear's iconic hero. The costume only allows Belmont to appear as Snake and doesn't provide any special powers or abilities.
