Skip Tutorials
"LittleBigPlanet" provides tutorials to teach players how to perform various tasks and rewards players with valuable tools for completing the lessons. However, inserting a cheat code will enable you to skip the tutorials yet still unlock the needed tools. On the opening credits screen, press "Down," "Up," "L1," "L2," "R2," "R1," "Triangle" and then "X."
Concepts
"LittleBigPlanet" includes more than 20 different unlockable art concepts you can use when designing new levels. To unlock the concepts, you need to complete a specific level all the way through without dying. For example, completing the "Mines" level 100 percent will unlock the "Anteater Concept." Completing "Sensei's Lost Castle" 100 percent earns "Big Sumo and the Islands Concept." Other unlockables include the "Circus Concept," the "Graveyard Concept" and the "Gardens Concept."
Bonus Costumes
Successfully completing levels without dying will also earn you bonus costumes for your Sack Person character. Completing the "Dancers Court" will unlock a chicken beak, while finishing the "Great Magician's Palace" will earn chicken gloves, and passing the "Elephant Temple" will get you the chicken tail. Some other unlockable bonus costumes and accessories include a Japanese festival robe, a monocle, a pirate eye patch, a Roman helmet and googly eye glasses.
Pause
Pausing the game at strategic times can also change your character's appearance. If you reset your costume and then catch yourself on fire at a fiery location, pause the game while your Sack Person burns. You should see a charred character. Hold down the "PS" button to turn off your controller and then turn the controller back on when prompted. You should now have a burnt costume. The same trick works when your Sack Person gets electrocuted, except this time you get a glowing skeleton costume.
Multiplayer Prizes
Most "LittleBigPlanet" levels provide special prize areas that require two players to unlock the rewards. If you have two controllers, you can still get the prizes even when playing solo. When you reach the multiplayer prize zones, stand near the closest checkpoint and click the "PS" button on the second controller to create a second Sack Person. Have the second Sack Person stand on the checkpoint switch or hold something down, and then you'll be able to collect the multiplayer prizes with your original character. Once you have the prizes, turn off the second controller to make the second Sack Person disappear. You can then finish the level as a single player.
