How to Make a Brass Ring Game

The brass ring game is a whimsical pub game. Players try to bounce a ring tied to a string from the ceiling onto a hook on the wall. If you're putting together a party or barbecue, you can organize your own brass ring game with minimal effort. Using a few basic items, some available at your local hardware store, you can make a cheap party game that will entertain your friends for hours.

Things You'll Need

String
Scissors
2-inch brass ring
Screw ring
Metal hook screw

Instructions

  Cut a piece of string to about 5 feet long with scissors.

  Tie one end of the string around a 2-inch brass ring from a hardware shop.

  Tie the other end of the string around a metal screw ring. You can find these at most hardware stores.

  Screw the metal screw ring into the ceiling, about 4 feet from the wall adjacent to it.

  Twist a metal screw hook into the wall adjacent to the ceiling where you have installed the string. Center the hook on the wall, and check to verify it sits perpendicularly to the string. Play the game by attempting to toss the brass ring onto the hook.
