Levels
Happy Island contains unlimited levels, according to the official website for CrowdStar, the game's developer. The game's open-ended nature presents players with an ongoing challenge to continue improving their islands in pursuit of achieving higher levels than their friends. Each new level presents more challenges and new attractions to purchase, keeping the game from getting stale.
Function
To level up, you need to earn coins and experience points. You get one experience point for every coin you collect. You can also earn experience points by clicking on the flotsam in the water, by cleaning up garbage and by visiting your neighbors' island and clicking on their treasure box. You also earn an experience point for each coin you spend, even if you're only buying decorations for the island.
Features
Each Happy Island level requires you to reach a certain number of experience points before advancing to the next level. The amount of necessary experience points increases with each subsequent level. For instance, you need 1,500 experience points to move to level two. Level three requires 4,500 total points. You gain access to level four with 10,500 experience points. The totals continue to rise from there. To reach level 25, you'll need 2,817,500 experience points.
Considerations
Your island will grow in size the more levels you achieve, allowing the island to accommodate more and more attractions. Happy Island also permits you to buy additional islands once you reach higher levels. All told, you can operate up to eight islands. Your first opportunity to buy another island occurs on level 15, and you'll be able to purchase another island every tenth level after that until acquiring your eighth and final island on level 75. The level 15 island costs 30,000 coins. Each subsequent island costs an additional 30,000 coins over the previous price, making the level 75 island cost 210,000 coins.
