List of Medabots Characters

A Japanese role-playing video game series later released as an anime cartoon, Medabots takes place in 22nd century Japan when just about everyone has his own robot. The Medabot Corporation manufactures the robots, known as Medabots. However, in reality, the Medabots are really the survivors of an ancient warring civilization who draw power from special medals. Various characters in the game attempt to control the robots for their own purposes.

Ikki
- The story's main character, Ikki Tenryou is a 10-year-old boy who dreams of owning his own robot and becoming the champion of the World Robattle Tournament, which stages robot fights. Ikki manages to save enough money to buy a robot named Metabee that takes on special powers when Ikki finds a rare medal in the river. Together, Ikki and Metabee form a trusted friendship.
Metabee
- Short for metal beetle, Metabee is a yellow Hercules Beetle Type Medabot that gained powers and a combative attitude once his pal Ikki fitted him with a rare medal. Metabee contains an arsenal of seeker missiles and possesses excellent revolver tactics. And despite not always agreeing with Ikki, Metabee displays undying loyalty to his boy owner.
Henry
- A seemingly humble convenience store employee, Henry is the teenager who sold Metabee to Ikki. But Henry hides a few secrets. Not only is he a former World Robattle Tournament star, Henry's alter ego is the Phantom Renegade, a heroic figure who goes out at night to collect rare Medabot medals. Yet few could imagine Henry and the Phantom Renegde are the same person.
Erika
- Erika, a 10-year-old girl and a good childhood friend of Ikki's, works for the school newspaper and constantly digs for the next big story. Erika has a tendency to be bossy, which upsets Ikki, but she also has a Medabot named Brass that Acts as her camera girl and watches out for her at all times.
Karin
- A beautiful rich girl, Karin attends private school and steals the heart of most every boy, including Ikki. Due to her wealth, Karin owns a Medabot named Neutranurse that possesses a special healing power, making it nearly impossible to defeat in battle. Karin is also the niece of Dr. Aki, an expert in Medabot technology.
Koji
- A spoiled rich boy, Koji attends private school with Karin and considers her his girlfriend, even though her gentle, generous nature hardly matches his personality. Koji is highly protective of Karin and intensely jealous, especially when it comes to keeping Karin away from Ikki. Koji also owns a tough Medabhat named Sumilidon that can win most fights.
The Screws
- Samantha, Spyke and Sloan make up The Screws, a gang of troublemakers at Ikki's Riverview Junior High. Samantha, a brutal tomboy who secretly likes girly things, leads the gang, bossing around the wimpy Spyke and the lazy Sloan like hapless toadies. Samantha owns a Medabot named Peppercat that possesses great agility.
