Instructions
Cut your piece of cardboard so that the cut piece is 2 inches by 1 inch. Dominoes are typically twice as long as they are wide.
Repeat 27 times. A complete set of dominoes includes 28 pieces. A white sheet of cardboard, 56 inches by 28 inches by 1/2 inch, will have exactly enough material to cut 28 dominoes of equal size. Your dominoes should be half as thick as they are wide to ensure that they can stand on their sides without falling over.
Draw a straight line across the width of all 28 dominoes with a black marker. The line should bisect the domino so that the distance from each long end of the domino to the black line is exactly 1 inch
Leave one of the dominoes blank. This will be the double blank domino. For the rest of the "blanks," leave one half of the white side of each domino blank and number the other half of that side of the domino with one, two, three, four, five or six dots. Once you use a domino in a particular suit, you will not use that number again in that suit. For instance, once you make the "blank-three" domino, you will not use another three with the "blanks" suit.
Repeat this process with the rest of the suits; avoid replicating any of the dominoes. By the time you reach the "sixes" you should only have to mark the "double-six" domino.
