How to Make Axis & Allies Miniature Maps

Axis &Allies Miniatures, a collectable wargame from Wizards of the Coast, uses printed maps to represent the various World War II battlefields on which the game takes place. These maps use a hex grid overlay to create ease of movement for the pieces, and terrain on the map to create an interesting challenge for maneuver and fire. Creating your own maps can allow for infinite variation of the base game.

Instructions

  1. Axis &Allies Maps

    • 1

Print the blank maps from the Axis &Allies website. There are maps with and without roads, to use depending on your scenario.

    • 2

Print the combat zone terrain tiles from the Axis &Allies website. This single sheet will give you four woods tiles and two each of mud, towns and hills. It will also provide two plains tiles, which can be used to cover up roads in pre-printed road maps. Multiple copies of this sheet may be printed for additional terrain tiles.

    • 3

Arrange the tiles on your pre-printed maps to fit your desired scenario.
