Tamagotchi V4.5 Instructions

The Tamagatchi version 4.5, also known as a Tamagotchi Connect, was released in 2007. The original Tamagotchi allowed you to care for a virtual-pet by feeding it, bathing it and playing games with it. Although it keeps the same virtual-pet style of the original Tamagotchi intact, the Tamagotchi v4.5 also includes the ability to unlock secret items via codes that you can obtain on the Internet. Additionally, you can connect with other players to unlock even more items for your Tamagotchi.

Instructions

  Remove the plastic tab from the back of the Tamagotchi device to begin. An egg will appear on the screen. After 10 to 20 minutes, the egg will hatch.

  Enter a name for your Tamagotchi. Once it has a name, it will need to be fed and cleaned.

  Select the food icon at the top of the screen. The food icon is the second icon. Give your Tamagotchi food until it is happy. You can check its happiness by selecting the health icon, which is the icon at the top-left of the screen. Once your Tamagotchi has four hearts on its hunger meter, you do not need to feed it until it gets hungry again. After a short while, your baby Tamagotchi will fall asleep. When it awakes, it will now be a teen Tamagotchi.

  Continue to feed your Tamagotchi if it gets hungry. Now that it is a teen, you can also play games with it by selecting the games icon, which is the fourth icon at the top. The type of game you can play depends on the type of Tamagotchi you have, but they are either a variation of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" or a game in which you guide your Tamagotchi on the screen using the buttons to have it capture as much food as possible.

  Select the toilet icon if your Tamagotchi goes to the restroom. If you wait too long, your Tamagotchi will get sick, in which case you will need to use the medicine icon to nurse it back to health. The toilet icon is the third icon at the top. The medicine icon is the second icon at the bottom.

  Discipline your Tamagotchi if it misbehaves or praise it if it is behaving well. You can perform either of these actions by selecting the discipline icon at the bottom-left of the screen.

  Connect your Tamagotchi to another Tamagotchi using the infra-red connection by selecting the infra-red icon at the top-right of the screen. Additionally, if you go to tamatown.com and play the games there, you can obtain codes to give to the shopkeeper to obtain different food or items. Visit the shopkeeper by selecting the third option at the bottom. The fourth bottom option is a list of the friends you have connected with.
