Techniques to Get Through the Hula Hoop Game

The Hula Hoop has been around since the 1950s. Kids have always enjoyed playing Hula Hoop games for recreational purposes. Technology has taken the Hula Hoop concept and extended the challenge to the Wii Fit Hula Hoop game. Unlike the traditional game, the Wii requires you to move in a slightly different manner. Certain techniques help get the highest score on the Wii Hula Hoop game. Both types of games, traditional and Wii, demand patience and practice to get it right.
  1. Movement

    • Move your feet in a circular style, as you keep both feet on the board. Movement on the Wii is more centered on your feet than on your hips. You don't need to move your arms at all. The trick is weight adjustment. Adjust your weight toward the Hula Hoop. For instance, if the Hula Hoop approaches from the right, take your left foot off. Lean in the direction of the hoop.

    Hula Hoop Objective

    • Spin the Hula Hoop as fast as you can and catch the ones thrown at you. To do it,

rotate your hips to get the Hula Hoop spinning. The faster you spin it, the more points you'll earn. When your fellow Miis throw a Hula Hoop at you, raise your arms and lean in the appropriate direction to catch it.

    Super Hula Hoop

    • Super Hula Hoop in the Wii Fit Plus version is the same as the standard game, except more difficult. Catching the Hula Hoops can be tricky. It's based on weight, so you need to place enough weight in the proper direction for your Mii to respond. Extend your arms straight above your head and then lean your entire body in the proper direction. The game proceeds in two phases; one in which you spin to the right and the other in which you spin to the left.

    More Tips

    • Earn the most rotations by making large circles with your hips. It's best to make large circles at a medium pace than a lot of small circles really fast. To get the extra multiplier for a longer period of time, try to catch all the hoops the first time. Don't start leaning to the side until the hoop is about halfway to you. This way you can keep spinning the rest of your hoops to get more points.
