What Are the Differences Between the BaliYo Pens?

The BaliYo pens are ball jointed pens that allow users to flip, roll and twist the pen, when it's not in use for writing. While a majority of the pens are manufactured the same way, there are a couple cheaper versions that are created with the low-budget pen owner in mind. Understand the differences between BaliYo pens to decide which one is the best option.
  1. Manufactoring Location

    • All of the colored BaliYo pens are manufactured in the United States. The only pens that are manufactured in China are the gray and black BaliYo pens. The ones made in China are known as Value BaliYo pens.

    Price

    • As of July 2011, the standard USA BailYo pen retails at $34.95 from their official website. The cheaper model from China retails at $9.99.

    Ink

    • The China models of the BaliYo pens need the YCNR ink refill. The standard BaliYo pens take the YUSR ink refills. These refills are in a gray cartridge filled with Fisher Space Pen ink that can write in any temperature. The China version is in a black cartridge that uses standard ink.

    Colors

    • The US BaliYo pens come in seven different two color combinations. These are "Blue &Green," "Blue &Orange," "Pink &Orange," "Gray &Green," "Red &Orange," "Pink &White" and a special "Red, White and Blue" BaliYo pen.
