Spending Budget Game
Since money management will be important for your daughter, you can play a game in which you give her a certain amount of money, then take her to her favorite shopping place. Tell your daughter how much money she is allowed to spend and then let her shop. Finally, look at the receipt and, if she stayed within the budget, you can buy her dessert from the bakery.
Dinner Table Etiquette
Another idea is to play a game in which your daughter pretends to be a customer at a restaurant and you'll judge her table manners for a prize. Before the game, give your daughter a brief lesson on dinner etiquette, then set the table for the game. Finally, let your spouse be her guest at the table and watch her behavior. If she followed all of the rules correctly, you can let her choose the meal for the next day.
Contest for Best-Written Resume
If you have more than one teenage daughter, you can have them play a game in which each girl will compete for the best-written resume. First sit with your daughters and discuss why a resume is important to a job search and what goes in a resume. Then give each girl a sample list of career objectives and past jobs then ask them to turn the lists into a one-page resume. Finally, have each girl discuss her resume and the winner of the best resume will get a bag of fashion magazines.
Behavior While on a Date
Since dating will be a part of your daughter's social life, you can play a trivia game in which you test your dauighter's knowledge of how to prepare for and act on a date. You can ask 10 questions about what to wear on a date, grooming tips for the date, how to hold conversation on a date and how the man should treat her while on a date. If the girl gets at least five questions right, you can give her a gift card to a clothing store.
