Bobble Head Games

Bobble head dolls, also called bobbing head dolls, have oversized heads compared to their body. When planning a bobble head-themed birthday party, you can put a twist on classic birthday party games by incorporating bobble head dolls into the festivities since no bobble head-specific games are available. Game ideas and a few supplies from your local retail store are all you need to get started.
  1. Easy Games

    • Ask everyone to sit in a circle and hand one player a large bobble head doll. Play some music and tell the children to pass the doll around the circle. When the music stops, the player holding the doll is out of the game. Eliminate one player each round and the last player remaining wins the doll. You can also print pictures of bobble heads and tape the pictures to the floor (one less than you have players). Play music and when the music stops, everyone has to stand on a picture. The player not standing on a picture is out of the game. Remove a picture each round and the last player standing on a picture wins the game.

    Tossing Games

    • Tape a poster board to the bottom of a cardboard box and cut holes in the box. Write a point value above each hole. Have players try to toss small bobble head dolls into the holes to score points. The player with the highest score wins the game. For a variation, hang hula hoops from trees or a clothesline and have players try to toss the dolls through the hoops.

    Painting Contests

    • Purchase bobble head dog craft kits from your local craft store of online. Give each guest a bobble head dog to paint and decorate. The guests can use acrylic paints, brushes, name tags, glitter pens and paint pens to make their own bobble head dogs. Award prizes to the best, funniest, silliest and most creative dog bobble heads. Other bobble head craft kits include cats and people.

    Other Games

    • Divide the players into two teams. Mark a starting line and a run-to line 20 feet apart. Give the first player in each team line a spoon and a small bobble head. When you say "Race," the first players in line must place the bobble head on the spoon and race to the run-to line. They must race back to the starting line to hand off the bobble head and spoon to the next player in line. Each player must do the same thing. The first team to finish wins the game. If you have enough spoons and bobble heads, the players can race individually.
