How to Use Bakugan Traps in Battle

Bakugan is a game that was released alongside a television series of the same name. The game involves using round toys that spring open when they are rolled onto metal Gate cards. The goal of the game is to capture three Gate cards. In a regular game, you use three Gate cards, three Ability cards, three Bakugan and one trap. In Big Game rules, you use twice as many of each. Traps enhance the abilities of Bakugan. There are six different attributes -- Pyrus (fire), Aquos (water), Haos (light), Darkus (darkness), Ventus (wind) and Subterra (rock).

Instructions

    • 1

Set down a Gate Card from each player's hand. Take turns rolling Bakugan onto the Gate Cards, with the youngest player going first.

    • 2

Flip over the Gate Card when two Bakugan occupy it. Follow the instructions written on that card.

    • 3

Place your trap on the card after it's flipped over to reveal hidden attributes or extra G-Power. Make sure the trap's main attribute matches the attribute of the bakugan on the field. For example, place a Pyrus trap if you have a Pyrus bakugan on the field.

    • 4

Select which secret attribute you want your Bakugan to swap over to.

    • 5

Add the amount of G-Power shown on the trap to your Bakugan's G-Power if that is the case. Add up the G-Power for both of the Bakugan involved in the battle. The highest G-Power wins the battle.

    • 6

Move the trap to your used pile after the battle is complete. Move your pieces back to your unused pile after you run out of pieces.
