Physical Attributes
Newlyweds who have spent time together intimately will know about each other's body. Couples know how their partner's ears look, hands feel and other physical attributes. A mother and daughter with a close relationship will also know many physical attributes about one another. Play the game of physical attributes by having the mother go behind a curtain and only stick out her hands. Have two other people go behind the curtain and have them only stick out their hands. The daughter is to guess which set of hands belongs to her mother. The game can be play using other body parts as well.
Memory
Newlyweds have special moments together and can remember the first time they met, kissed or went on a long distance trip together. A mother and daughter can also share special moments together. Play a memory game by asking mothers and daughters questions such as "what's a favorite nursery song the two of you sang together when the daughter was young?" or "name a favorite children's story read often at home." Have each person write her answer on a piece of paper. When everyone is finished writing, the papers are turned over to reveal the answer. Mother/daughter pairs with a matching answer win.
Likes and Dislikes
When people spend enough time together, you learn about their likes and dislikes. Play the game of likes and dislikes by asking the daughters to answer questions about their mothers' likes and dislikes. Focus questions related to their relationship together, such as "what types of presents does your mother like receiving the most on Mother's Day?" or "what is one thing your mother complains the most about you?" Have the daughters write their answers on a piece of paper. When they are finished writing, the mothers answer verbally. The daughters turns their papers around to reveal their answers. If a pair's answers match, they win.
Character
You truly know a person when you can predict what their behavior will be in different situations. Just like a newlywed couple knows the way their partner behaves in different scenarios, a mother who knows her daughter well can predict what behavior to expect in different scenarios. Play the game on character by presenting the mother with scenarios where she has to predict what her daughter will do. The mother writes her answer down on a piece of paper, and when she is finished, the daughter answers verbally. The mother then shows her written answer to reveal if she answered it correctly. Present scenarios such as "what does your daughter do when she is unhappy?" and offer her options to select from, such as "goes into hiding," "stuffs herself with food" or "complains to everyone on what's troubling her."
