Microbiology Games

Microbiology games offer a wealth of information. Online interactive games can be played for free, enabling players to enjoy the games from work, school or from home. Players can challenge each other by playing microbiology trivia quizzes. Players can also experiment with antibiotics, race for an infection cure or trade illnesses in microbiology online and board games.
  1. "Diatom Trivia"

    • "Diatom Trivia" is considered a tough trivia quiz. This online interactive microbiology game can be played for free at FunTrivia.com. Click "Start" to generate the trivia questions. Click on the correct answers. The longer it takes you to answer correctly, the less points you receive. Compete with friends to see who can reach the highest score. You can publish your "Diatom Trivia" score publicly on Facebook.

    "Bacterial Tidbits"

    • If you know what chemotaxis is or if you can correctly describe a membrane, then you may have what it takes to score high on the trivia quiz "Bacterial Tidbits." Found at FunTrivia.com, this free microbiology game is considered tough. You can publish your score on Twitter or Facebook.

    "Bacteria Tower Defense"

    • "Bacteria Tower Defense" is an online interactive microbiology game where you are the doctor. Your goal is to fight off infections by building mazes of antibiotic towers to protect your patient. The white blood cell tower is your defense system, but each kind of bacteria is susceptible to various types of infection. Earn virtual money to build or repair antibiotic towers to kill the bacteria waves. Learn about symptoms, bacteria and how to treat specific infections while playing.

    "Infection"

    • Two to eight players can enjoy "Infection," the microbiology board game that is all about disease. Treatments are described on the "Cure" cards. Players roll dice to determine how many moves to move their chosen token around the playing board. Players land on squares, such as the "Medical Stations" or the "Community Swim Center." No diseases can be transferred at the Medical Stations squares, but they can be transferred at the Community Swim Center. "Catch a Disease" squares instructs players to take a "Disease" card from the top of the deck. That player now has that disease until she is cured, by a variety of means, for example through a "Cure" card, or through a "Miracle Through Prayer" station. Diagnose your disease incorrectly and you could end up catching that exact disease.
