Interlinked-Animals Games
A rabbit and a weasel work together to escape an evil product-testing laboratory in Eidos Interactive's "Whiplash," available for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles. Both characters -- Redmond the rabbit and Spanx the weasel -- remain chained together throughout the duration of the game. Players swing the characters in different directions to beat enemies, explore the environment and solve puzzles. Aside from escaping, players also try to free other animals and cause as much property damage to the company as possible. Once freed, other animals help in the cause and attack humans.
Interlinked-Items Games
Players try to strike enemies with the right object in "Whiplash," found at Codeface. Using the mouse to move, players try to hit enemies with the specified item. Items include a kite, bow, hook and submarine. Should players hit enemies with the wrong object, they lose a life. The game ends when players lose five lives.
Scooter Games
Scooter riders try to reach the end of a course in the fastest time possible in "Whiplash Street Surfing," accessible at ABC Kids Games. Players press the arrow keys to steer the scooter and the space bar to jump. Along the course, players collect signs for bonus points and avoid obstacles that slow them down. The red-and-yellow arrows on the ground give players a speed boost upon contact. After players cross the finish line, the game deducts the number of bonus points from the finishing time. Thus, if players collected five signs and finished the game in 1 minute, their final time would be 55 seconds.
Lashing-a-Whip Games
Players crack the whip as they try to destroy Tony Stark's car at the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco in "Whiplash: Slash and Burn," found at the official "Iron Man 2" site. Based on the 2010 Marvel Studios film, this game requires installation of the Unity web player. Players assume the role of Ivan Vanko/Whiplash and use electrified whips to destroy cars as they pass by on the track. Pressing the "Left" and "Right" arrow keys to hit oncoming cars, players attempt to hit cars at the precise time to cause maximum damage. Successful chain attacks boost players' power meter; at this point, players press the "Up" arrow to initiate a power surge that simultaneously destroys multiple vehicles. As the game progresses, players face a bigger challenge as race cars pick up speed.
