Fifteen-Minute Styling Contest
One idea is to hold a contest in which players must create unique hairstyles for themselves during a 15-minute time period. To make the game more interesting, you can assign each person a theme to base the hairstyle on. For example, one player may create a 1960s-inspired hairstyle while another person may fashion a punk-inspired style. Then critique each hairstyle and select a winner, who receives a gift card to a beauty supply store.
Most Complementary Hair Color
Another game idea is to have each person purchase a hair color that she thinks best complements her skin tone and then invite people over to your house for a hair coloring contest. When all of the participants are finished, provide feedback and judge each hair color. The winner with the most complementary hair color receives a gift bag filled with beauty magazines.
Most Creative Hair Accessories
If you have teenage girls who like crafts, you can hold a contest in which they compete for the most creative hair accessories. For example, one girl may decorate bobby pins with beads and glue while another may decorate plain headbands with colored yarn, then put tiny bows on them. The top two winners receive arts and crafts books.
Best Looking Ponytail
Another game involves holding a contest in which guests create their own unique ponytails for a prize. You can give each guest a small bag of accessories and hair cream to help them create the ponytails and then critique each ponytail. The winner with the best ponytail gets a bag of snacks to bring home.
