Interactive Crime Scene Games

Interactive crime scene games place players in the role of a detective, out to investigate horrific murders and piece together events using clues and forensics. These games have appeared in various formats, and many are based on the hit CBS television series "CSI" (Crime Scene Investigation), with these titles featuring characters from the show.
  1. New Scotland Yard Crime Scene

    • This board game is suitable for between two and six players, and takes place in London, England. Players assume the role of detective working for London's Scotland Yard police headquarters, and are equipped with various devices that come with the game, including a UV light and magnifying utensil. Players use these instruments to search for clues and pieces of evidence as they travel around crime scenes in London.

    Crime Scene

    • "Crime Scene" is a detective title for the Nintendo DS. Players assume the role of a new detective, and must assemble evidence to solve a double murder case. Players investigate crime scenes and explore their environments carefully to find clues, using the DS stylus to look around locations. Equipment such as a camera enables players to retain information, while swabs and other gear can be used to collect samples. Players can also message other officers for information as they progress through the game's storyline.

    CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Board Game

    • Based on the T.V. show, this board game tasks players with assembling evidence, with the ultimate goal of discovering the motive and means by which a suspect committed a crime. Players travel across the board to visit different labs, and must shift through data in areas such as Autopsy, Forensics and Identification to gather the evidence needed.

    CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

    • This PC adventure features five cases, with the player teaming with one of the fictional professionals from the television show to solve each case. The player's partner gives hints on how to gather and analyze evidence as the player proceeds to investigate locations. Players must also utilize tools such as plaster molds and swabs to complete each case.

    CSI: Hard Evidence

    • A sequel to the first "CSI" game, this title is another point-and-click adventure featuring five missions. Players investigate cases such as murders and disappearances, and much of the game is spent assembling evidence using a variety of tools. Players can seek aid from the show's characters if they get stuck, with voiceover work provided by the actors from "CSI." The game is available on Wii, PC and Xbox 360.

    CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder

    • Another installment in the "CSI" video game series, "CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder" offers more expansive cases than previous titles. Cases this time around include a murder at a games conference and an apartment covered in blood. Players round up evidence from crime scenes and bring three suspects in for questioning, before eventually discovering which individual did the grisly deed.
