Classroom Games
Students search for lost sheep around the classroom in a hide-and-seek game. Half of the students close their eyes while the other half hides sheep cutouts or toy sheep. Once kids finish hiding the sheep, the other students open their eyes and search for the sheep. Kids should reverse roles once all sheep are found. In a lost-sheep version of tag, the "It" child puts on a blindfold while the rest of the kids --- the "sheep" --- spread out in the play area. Once they find a spot, the "sheep" cannot move. Each time "It" calls out "Where are my lost sheep?" the "sheep" make "Baa" sounds. When the shepherd tags a "sheep," the "sheep" becomes the shepherd for the next round.
Little Bo Peep Games
Bo Beep needs help locating five sheep that have gone astray in "Little Bo Peep," accessible at BBC's CBeebies site. Players click clouds to reveal the sheep and then click on hidden sheep to return them to Bo Peep. The game concludes after players line up the sheep, who then follow Bo Peep. Players embark on a text-based adventure to help lead 10 missing sheep back to Bo Peep in "The Quest for the Lost Sheep," found at Fupa. At the bottom of the screen, players type commands to advance in the game. Players move between areas, get descriptions of surroundings, interact with fairy-tale/nursery-rhyme characters and listen for sheep.
Memory Games
Players try to find one lost sheep among other animals in a memory card game. A leader cuts out images of various animals, including a sheep, and glues them to cards of the same color and size. With the cards turned face down, players take turns flipping the cards to try to find the "lost sheep." In another memory game, a leader cuts out 10 to 15 pictures of distinct-looking sheep or colors sheep cutouts, using a different color for each. Players look at the pictures for 30 seconds and close their eyes. Before players open their eyes, the leader removes one of the sheep. Players guess which sheep is missing. For each round, the leader adds more sheep.
