Digger & Dozer Games

Diggers and dozers might be mundane construction and destruction machines, but that doesn't mean they are not suitable subjects for a variety of games. After all, many of us have probably wondered what it's like to be behind the controls of one of these powerful machines. Digger and dozer games are available across a number of formats.
  1. Bob the Builder: Scoop's Construction Site Game

    • This board game is designed for kids ages 4 and above. The game is based around the popular TV show "Bob the Builder" and is set on a building site, with players attempting to put together a multi-story tower. The first player to create a tower of the required size is the winner, but participants must beware since a motorized dozer careens around the board and may thwart their construction efforts.

    Digger Simulator 2011

    • This video game for the computer is a literal simulation of the experience of driving a construction digger, with players handed missions they must accomplish using the vehicle. These consist of digging trenches and sorting materials, with players having access to a different variety of diggers, based on the task at hand. Players must watch out for sand falling into the trenches they have dug and avoid accidentally digging in the wrong place. The game features a career mode for real digger enthusiasts.

    Tonka Construction 2

    • This title is based around Tonka construction vehicles, and players can drive these diggers across a range of terrains, such as mountain sides and quarries. Players can choose to design buildings and create a site to their liking or simply unleash their destructive side and destroy everything in sight in one of the game's demolition modes.

    Caterpillar Construction Tycoon

    • This game places players in the role of a construction manager, whose job it is to handle not just one but multiple building sites across the world. Players assign machines to various locations to accomplish each task and must also handle staff recruitment, finances and resources, as well as react to natural disasters which can affect the construction business. The tasks themselves are played in first person, testing the player's driving skills.

    Power Diggerz

    • This game tests the player's ability to drive a digger and manipulate its arm to accomplish a range of challenges, which often border on the bizarre; at one point, the player must rescue a bunch of sea turtles to score points. Other game modes include time trial contests, in which the player must hit moles and demolish cars. "Power Diggerz" features three difficulty modes, with players accessing more powerful vehicles as they progress through the game.
