How to Make Foldable Goal Posts for Paper Football

Paper football is a fun way to pass time with friends, especially while waiting at restaurants and airports. It involves folding a piece of paper into a triangle and flicking it with your fingers. The "ball" has to hit the edge of a table, going partially over but not falling off. You can also kick field goals. It's easy to make light and foldable goalposts cheaply so you can practice those flicks.

Things You'll Need

  • Two strips of poster board, 12 inches by 6 inches
  • Hole punch
  • Plastic straw
  • Scotch tape
  • Pen
  • Small resealable bag

Instructions

    • 1

Place one strip of poster board on a flat surface. Fold it lengthwise two times. Unfold, leaving two creases. Bring the edges together and tape them. Once the poster board is taped together, the bottom should resemble a triangle shape, and it should be able to stand on end. Repeat this for the second strip.

    • 2

Place both of the posts upright. Adjust them so they are separated by the length of a straw.

    • 3

Using a pen, mark a spot four inches from the top of each post. Punch a hole in each post at the mark. Push the straw through the holes to make a crossbar between the posts. Reinforce it with tape.

    • 4

Remove the straw from the holes when it's time to store the goalpost. For storage, place the posts, straw and extra tape into a small resealable bag.
