Swingin' Kingdom
"Swingin' Kingdom" is a Cartoon Network game featuring George of the Jungle. The object of the game is to help George save animals in the forest. The animals are located on rafts on the river at the bottom of the game screen.
Players click their computer mouse to get George moving up and down the game screen, gathering fruit and avoiding birds and, naturally, trees. Players click faster to move him to the top of the screen and slower to get him towards the bottom. If players hit too many trees, the game ends. If players hit too many birds, they lose energy, which can lead to the game ending. Players can gather bananas too replenish energy.
Life or Death Game: Jungle
"The Life or Death Game: Jungle" on Discovery online allows kids to take on the role of a helicopter crash survivor trapped in a jungle. It is better suited for older children as it has some intense elements of adventure, such as the possibility of player sinking in quicksand or being attacked by a snake. Players must get to higher ground through a series of mini-games featuring various survival tasks.
The first of these tasks give players the option of using one of three tools -- a beach ball, mallet or rope -- to get out of quick sand. If players choose the mallet of ball, they can use those items to wiggle themselves out of harm's way. If they make a bad choose, in this mini-game or any of the others, the game ends.
Jungle Jiggy
"Jungle Jiggy" is presented by the Y8 game site. In the game the players compete, as a monkey, in a jungle dance competition in a disco club. Players use their keyboard arrow keys to hit the corresponding keys on the screen. Players aim to hit the keys as they pass in front of the dancing monkey. If players miss the arrow/dance step, an alligator at the edge of the stage eats the arrow and players miss getting the points.
Jungle Musician
In the memory game "Jungle Musician," presented by Games for Girls, players watch a monkey play a beat on a xylophone. Players must then click the same bar to make the sound. Then players watch the monkey hit two bars, which they remember and replay. Then the monkey hits four bars, which players remember and replay. If players do not remember the pattern and make a mistake, a life is lost; players lose the game after losing all five lives. During the game players also have three opportunities to replay and tunes they would like to repeat.
Tarzan Says
The game "Tarzan Says" is a jungle version of the classic children's game "Simon Says." One player takes on the role of Tarzan. Tarzan then directs the players by saying "Tarzan says..." followed by a jungle=themed command. For example, "Tarzan says... slither like a snake." The player that has the role of Tarzan must randomly give a command without preceding it with the phase "Tarzan says...." If any players follow a non-Tarzan command, they lose the game. This continues until only one player is left standing and is the winner.
Hungry Elephant
"Hungry Elephant" is a game for children to play and, if they choose, to help create. Cut two elephant ear shapes out of heavy paper such as recycled cardboard. Create a cone out of recycled cardboard or a few layers of recycled paper. This cone will serve as the elephant's trunk. The elephant's ears are then connected (glued, stapled, etc.) to the sides of the elephant's trunk near its tip. Eyes can also be drawn onto the cone, near the ears, if desired.
The game is played by one person directing the opening of the cone toward players. Taking turns, players then throw peanuts (or small balls of recycled paper) into the mouth of the "hungry elephant" (cone) while someone keeps count of how many points each player gets. The player that gets the most -- or the first to get to a predetermined number, such a five -- wins.
