Fun Inside Games for Girls

Do not let inclement or bad weather ruin a day of fun for a group of girls. If you are planning a birthday party or social gathering for girls, create a few indoor games to keep the girls busy. A few supplies and a little imagination are all you need to entice the girls to play along.

Hunts
- Create an indoor princess scavenger hunt. Hide items like tiaras, hairbrushes, costume jewelry, hair accessories, lip gloss and makeup around the play area. Give each girl a plastic bag and have her hunt for as many items as she can. The girl who finds the most items wins a prize. Use a black marker to mark a dot on a couple of the items. The girls who find these items also receive a prize. All the girls can keep what they find to take home. Also try an artistic hunt with hidden markers, crayons and stencils, or a fairy hunt with hidden fairy wings, glitter and fairy accessories.
Balloon Games
- Blow up several pink and purple balloons. Give each girl a balloon and have her hit it in the air. Once the girls have the hang of this, give them each another balloon. If one of the girl's balloons hits the ground at any time, she is out of the game. The girl who can keep both of her balloons in the air the longest wins the game. For another balloon game, scatter the balloons all over the floor and set a timer for one minute. The girl who can pick up the most balloons in one minute wins the game.
Bingo
- Make girly bingo cards by printing the bingo cards with pictures of girly items such as a tiara, a hairbrush, a mirror, a tube of lipstick, a ponytail and a hair bow. Print the same pictures on small slips of paper and place them in a bowl. Give the girls a bingo card and bingo markers. Call out the girly pictures and have the girls mark their cards. The first girl to get a bingo vertically, horizontally or diagonally wins the game and a prize. For another bingo idea, use pictures of princesses in the bingo cards.
Makeover Games
- Have the girls sit around a table and select a partner. Give the girls a basket of nail polish, toothpicks, nail decals and small nail paintbrushes. Tell the girls they have 10 minutes to give each other a manicure. After 10 minutes, award prizes to the best, most creative, funniest and scariest nail designs. For a variation, use makeup instead of nail polish and have the girls give each other makeovers.

Games
