Word Games
Christian word games help stretch your brain and teach you more about God. In addition to the stand-by favorites of crossword puzzles and word searches, Christians can enjoy a variety of other word games, such as acrostics, scrambles, cryptograms and hangman. You can find these online or go to your local Christian bookstore and buy books with puzzles. On some websites you can even create your own word-search puzzles with any theme of your choosing.
Board Games
Many Christian board games copy popular secular games, such as "Apples to Apples," "Bible Taboo," "Christian Scattegories" or "Guesstures." However, several unique Christian board games offer a creative approach to the Scriptures. "Faith and Redemption" lets players gain supporters through a journey from the Garden to Judgment, helping them overcome temptation and sin. Similar to "Pictionary," the "Proverbial Wisdom Bible" game lets players sketch a picture to guess a proverb or familiar saying within 60 seconds.
Media Games
When parents look for Christian games for their young ones, they typically turn to VeggieTales. "Dance, Dance, Dance" lets kids dance to their favorite VeggieTales tunes. "VeggieTales Creativity City" takes children through a tour of shops, allowing them interactive activities along the way. "Left Behind Games Eternal Forces" are based on the popular "Left Behind" books, which pit good against evil. "Bibleman: A Fight for Faith" uses Scriptures to move players through nine levels. (
Group Games
Christian icebreaker questions can start any group from a youth group to a women's retreat. Naming a favorite Bible character or guessing a favorite personality trait helps you get to know others. Another favorite activity is to divide the group into groups of five or six people. Each person should say three facts about themselves, two of them true and one of them false. The other group members guess the false statement.
