Instructions for the LCR Dice Game

LCR, or Left, Center, Right, is a dice game that can be played by three to 12 people and is easy enough for anyone older than 6. It is a game of luck, where players begin with poker chips and pass them either to the left, to the right or to the center pot depending on how they roll the dice. This game is excellent for families or large groups, and it can also help young children learn to distinguish left from right.

Instructions

    • 1

Give each player three poker chips or coins to start the game.

    • 2

Roll the three specialized LCR dice on your turn.

    • 3

Pass a chip to the player on the left, to the person on the right and to the center pot based on the face-up symbols on the three dice. If you roll a dot, keep a chip for yourself. For example, if your dice show one "L," one "R" and one dot, you pass one chip to the player on your left and one to the person on your right.

    • 4

Pass the dice to the next player to the left, who rolls the three dice and passes his chips accordingly.

    • 5

Roll the same number of dice as chips in your possession on your subsequent turns -- if you have two chips, roll two dice. If you have no chips left, you don't roll the dice, but you are still in the game, as another player may pass chips to you on her turn.

    • 6

Win the game by being the last player to have any chips in front of you when you receive the dice for your turn. You are not required to roll the dice.
