Family Night Gift Basket
A family-oriented gift basket works as a prize for a small raffle at a school or religious society. Fill a large basket with two family board games, two family card games, a package of microwave popcorn, a package of chocolate candies and a bottle of soda. A family DVD or tickets to a local movie theater also work well. Wrap colored cellophane around the basket and tie a bow around the top. Slide a tag onto the bow that reads, "Family Night Fun."
Spa Gift Basket
Customize a raffle prize for a female crowd with a luxurious "spa" gift basket. Find beauty or spa retailers to donate assorted goods. Fill a basket with body scrubs, facial masks, bath salts, bath oils, bubble baths, body lotions, foot lotions and body poufs. If possible, include a gift certificate to a masseuse or spa as part of the raffle prize. Fill an empty space in the basket with loose bath beads. Wrap a ribbon around the basket and tie it in a bow.
Mini Vacation Package
Give away a weekend getaway for a couple or a family, to increase the interest in your raffle. Keep the overall cost low by sticking with local entertainment within driving distance. For example, raffle off a romantic prize with a dinner for two at a fancy restaurant and two nights at a local Bed &Breakfast with complementary champagne in the room. Include a brochure, tickets and gift certificates for the trip in an envelope to give as the physical prize. A family trip could include one night at a local themed hotel, tickets to a local theme park and dinner at a family restaurant.
Electronics
Electronic raffle prizes can draw big crowds, but only if the ticket cost is low and the electronic prize is relatively impressive. Small electronic prizes include a DVD player, a personal CD player or a digital music player. Large electronic prizes include a flat screen TV, a stereo system, a video game system, a home computer, a laptop computer or an electronic tablet.
Vehicles
A vehicle is an expensive raffle prize, but one that tends to draw many people. It's important to have a lawyer help with the paperwork, licenses, taxes and such involved in raffling off a car, truck or motorcycle. It's also important to have the vehicle on display long before, as well as during, the raffle to entice people to buy a ticket.
