How to Create an Adventure Game
Decide the goal of the game. Do you want props or is the game solely based on imagination? Is this an educational game or just for fun?
Create the theme of the game. This could be alphabet pirates or 1-2-3 cops and robbers. Including anything with action will let the kids start thinking about the roles they want to play.
Count how many kids will be playing. Assign roles to each kid or let them decide what character they would like to be.
Create the rules for the game. Include the kids in this process. The more they help, the more they will follow the rules.
Start playing the game. At first it may seem unfocused, but since this is an adventure it can be up in the air until everyone is used to playing it. Try to steer the kids in a direction of an actual game. For example, if they start to do other things than the prepared activities, make sure they are clear about what they are supposed to do.
