Speed tests
Test how many characters you can type in 60 seconds. They can be any letters, but you must try to repeat letters as little as possible. This game will help exercise your fingers and increase your speed even if you are still a beginner and cannot type entire words. It will also help you get a feel for the entire keyboard and practice stretching your fingers, especially when you attempt harder keys, such as the numbers and punctuation symbols. Try competing against a friend to make it more interesting.
Type Racer
Typeracer is a typing game that has you racing your car against other typists. The faster you type the faster your car moves. The game is surprisingly addictive. After each race you are told your average speed in words per minute and your typing accuracy as a percentage.
KeyMan Typing Game
KeyMan is an ingenious spin on the classic Pac-Man game. In KeyMan, instead of using a joystick or your keyboard's cursors to move through the screen, you are asked to type different letters for up, down, left and right. The letters linked to each direction change constantly, which forces you to become familiar with the entire keyboard.
Bubbles Typing Game
This original games requires you to burst underwater air bubbles before they reach the surface of the ocean. You burst the bubbles by typing the letter trapped inside it. Before starting the game you can choose to use only lower-case alphabet characters or to make it more challenging and include capitals and numbers.
