Mall Hunts
While it won't be the first time many of your women scavenge the mall in search of treasure, it may be the most fun. Send ladies on a photo hunt, in which they take pictures of themselves next to stores, with salespeople or wearing hilarious outfits. Or arrange a thrift-shopping challenge by giving each group $10, instructing them to purchase the most interesting item they can find. Another idea is to give the ladies clues leading them to several stores in the mall. At each location, arrange for a gift to be waiting for each woman at the cash register.
Movie Hunt
If you want an engaging scavenger hunt minus the running around, try a movie hunt. Get the girls together, prepare snacks and cozy blankets and pop in a chick flick. Give each woman a piece of paper with questions that they can only answer by watching the movie closely. Quiz them on clothing the actors wear, funny things occurring in the background of scenes and brand name products that are featured. If the movie is an old favorite, let ladies answer as many questions as possible before watching, and give extra points for these answers.
Gossip Hunt
If your group loves to chat, send them on a hunt for information. Give each woman a list of things she must discover from one another at the party. For example, a woman may have to find out how many boyfriends another woman had, or ascertain three ladies' hidden talents or learn what someone had for dinner the previous evening. Everyone should have a different list. That way, each woman must extract the information naturally, and no one will be sure if she is simply making conversation or if she is getting information on her list. The first person to get all the information on her list wins.
Makeover Hunt
Most women love makeovers. If it's a friend's birthday, give her the gift of a makeover scavenger hunt. Use clues to send her to different places around town for various beauty treatments. Her first clue may instruct her to go to a salon where she'll get her nails done. The beauty technician at the salon will give her another clue, which will lead her somewhere else where you've arranged for a haircut and eyebrow wax. Send her on a shopping spree to a clothing store, shoe store and accessory store --- even an undergarment store. Then have her meet up with everyone at the end of the day for a "mental health" makeover --- a dinner with her best girlfriends.
