Indoor Water Games

There is nothing like fun in the sun during summertime. However, some days just get too hot. After some time enjoying the weather outside, indoor water games are a great way to provide fun and cool off your kids after a great time playing in the sun.
  1. Water Guns

    • Water guns are a simple way to keep your kids wet and occupied. It is easy to make a water gun at home out of an empty spray bottle filled with cold water. Make a contest out of who can aim from the furthest away, or just let them spray each other until the water runs out. Water gun games have no need to end, just keep refilling and refilling.

    Ice Cube Race

    • When your kids have their friends over, an ice cube race is a perfect way to keep everyone cool and happy. Split everyone into two teams and give an ice cube to the first person of each team. The goal of the game is to finish melting the ice cube before the other team. When the first ice cube holder gets too cold, he passes it on to the next teammate until the ice cube is completely melted. Whichever team finishes first wins!

    Water Balloon Toss

    • Although a water balloon toss is a common outdoor game, it is also great for a larger area indoors. This game is similar to Hot Potato, but instead of passing, every player has to throw the balloon to whomever he chooses. If a player breaks the balloon or doesn't catch it, he is out. The last dry player standing wins.

    Duck, Duck, Splash!

    • Duck Duck Splash is basically Duck Duck Goose with water. Instead of tapping each player on the head like in Duck Duck Goose, the "ducker" will pour a splash of water on each head from a cup, and then spill the rest of the cup on the player chosen as the "chaser". If the "ducker" is caught he has to start all over again with a new cup of water. In this game, everyone will end up wet from head to toe!
