Two Truths and a Lie
Pick one player out of the family to start the game. She relates three statements to the group; two true statements and one false statement. She can state that she went to visit a country, that she likes peanut butter or that she cries at weddings. The rest of the family has to determine which two statements are true, and which one is false. They each write down their guesses on a piece of paper. The player then reveals her answers. The participants each get a point for guessing the right false statement. Every player gets at least one turn. The player with the most points at the end -- once everyone has had a turn, or a pre-determined time has elapsed, for instance -- wins the game.
Double Charades
Write down several different charades ideas on pieces of paper, making a copy for every idea you come up with. Place these papers in a bowl and pass it around. Each player takes a paper out and reads it. After everyone gathers in a standing circle, say "Go." The players all start performing their charades, while simultaneously looking for the person who shares the same charade. Keep playing until everyone finds his match.
Lying in Wait
Gather all of the players to a large outdoor, wooded area. Divide them into two teams; Team A and Team B. Before the game begins, designate a safety point, such as a specific tree. Team A then leaves the common area and heads out into the woods, leaving behind bread crumbs or other small items to mark their path. After 5 minutes pass, Team B heads out to find Team A. As soon as Team B comes upon them, Team A chases Team B back to the common area, tagging as many players as they can before they reach the safety point. Any players tagged join the opposing team. Allow the teams to take turns as many times as it takes before all players belong to one team.
Mummy Relatives
Divide the players into two teams. Each team picks a player, perhaps a tall adult, to become their mummy. Hand each team a roll of toilet paper. When you say "Go," the teams start to wrap their mummies in toilet paper. The first team to have its mummy completely wrapped from head to toe wins the game.
