Fun Games to Play When Bored and Inside

When the weather doesn't want to cooperate and you are stuck indoors, boredom sets in rather quickly. Instead of being bored, why not find some indoor games you can play by yourself or with your family. Bad weather can give you the opportunity to sit down, relax and spend some quality time with loved ones.

Board Games
- With so much technology in everyday life, it is very easy to forget how much fun simple board games can be. Sit down with the family and play a game of Monopoly or Scrabble. Enjoy the time you have to spend with your family and before you know the time will fly.
Card Games
- There are a variety of card games that range from simple to more complicated. Play a simple game of solitaire by yourself or get others involved and play some Go Fish. If you don't remember how to play these games have someone in the family teach you or see the Resources section of this article.
Online Games
- Nothing cures a case of boredom like online games. Websites such as Pogo or GSN offer a variety of different games that are addictive and easy to play. The games offered by both these websites give points for playing games which allow you to enter sweepstakes offered on their sites. If you prefer not to play alone you do have the option to play against other online players and chat with them as well.
Make up your own game
- If you have tried every option and are still bored you can always make up your own game. Make up your own version of "I Spy" or plan a scavenger hunt for the whole family to play. Use your creativity and imagination to come up with something that no one has ever thought of before. The best thing about making up your own game is you get to set the rules and determine who is the winner.
