Blue's Clues Games to Play

Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.'s animated "Blue's Clues" series has entertained and educated millions of preschool-age children, with its protagonist inviting viewers to look at paw-print clues and solve puzzles along with host Steve or Joe. "Blue's Clues" games enhance the TV adventures, helping preschoolers fine-tune early education skills and have fun in the process.
  1. Board Games

    • Players race to arrive at Blue's pool picnic party in University Games' "Blue's Clues Big Easy Game." To advance on the board, kids spin a spinner and move the number of indicated spaces or move to the next space of the indicated color. On the way to the picnic, kids visit all four rooms in Steve's house. The player reaching the picnic first wins.

"Blue's Clues Party Game Chest" contains games such as "Blue's Character Charades," "Blue's Clues Character Bingo," "Blue's Doodle Game," "Blue's Sequence Memory Game" and "Lights On, Lights Off - Memory Game." The game also contains two versions of basic "Blue's Clues," in which players search for three cards and identify the relationship among the cards.

    Computer Games

    • Preschoolers attend the Backyard Fair and learn basic math functions in Humongous Entertainment's "Blue's Clues: Blue's 123 Time Activities," available for Windows and Mac systems. Activities include adding or removing supplies from a moving train; counting along a number line; estimating items' weights; matching cards by color or number of shapes; putting shapes in correct patterns and sequences; and sorting snacks according to attributes. Other "Time Activities" titles in the "Blue's Clues" series include "ABC," "Art" and "Reading."

Joe and Blue help ease kids' fears about going to school for the first time in Atari Interactive Inc.'s "Blue's Clues: Blue Takes You to School," available for Windows and Mac systems. Players discover music, feed the class rabbit, learn about nature and paint pictures.

    Online Games

    • Nick Jr.s' official Blue's Clues site hosts numerous preschool-oriented games. Kids help Blue find as many ghosts as possible before time runs out in "Blue's Clues Ghost Hunt." Using a magnifying glass to find ghost footprints, players follow the footprints trail until finding a ghost.

Kids play color, letter, number and shape games in "Blue's Gold Clues Challenge." The games challenge kids to identify colors and count puppies, fill in missing alphabet letters and place missing shapes in their correct spots. After successfully completing all games, kids put the clues together to solve a jigsaw puzzle.

Kids try to match Blue's Clues characters in "Blue's Matching Game." Players click two cards to see if they match, and play with six cards in "Level 1," 12 cards in "Level 2" or 20 cards in "Level 3."

    Video Games

    • Children help to put on a musical review in THQ's "Blue's Clues: Blue's Big Musical," available for the PlayStation platform. Throughout the game, players find paw-printed clues and figure out how the clues relate to each other. Features include choosing an opening act and songs for the review, and participation in matching games, rhythm-based drum games, singalong games and sprinkler skipping.
