Charades
Charades is a word-guessing game, which also happens to be one of the most popular party games in the world, according to Encyclopedia Britannica. It is an acting game in which one player acts out a word or phrase by pantomiming words or similar sounding words, while the other players try to guess the word or phrase. Since pantomime is involved, there is usually a lot of funny guessing, acting and laughs.
To play, the players divide into two teams. It is better if the teams are three or more people each. Secret words are written on separate pieces of paper by each team. Then the teams swap words, but they are not revealed to the team all at once. These words are to be guessed by the teams. Often phrases are limited to titles of books, songs or movies. The slip of paper with the secret phrase is revealed to one member of the other team, who is the "actor." The other team members must guess the secret phrase the actor is pantomiming. The actor may not make any sounds or lip movements while trying to convey the secret word or cannot spell out the word using gestures. The actor has a time limit, usually 1 minute to convey his word. If it is guessed, then the team gets a point. The team with the most points when all the words are guessed wins.
Win, Lose or Draw
The games Win, Lose or Draw and Pictionary are also some of the funniest games that you can play. The game is similar to charades in that one member of a team is given a secret word or phrase that has to be guessed by the rest of the team members. However, instead of acting out the word, a person must draw pictures to convey the word. Just as with Charades, a timer is set up that gives each team a minute to guess the word. The game makes for some funny artwork, offbeat guesses and laughs.
Taboo
Taboo is also a game that prompts many laughs. The object of the game is for a player to have his teammates guess the word on his/her card without using the word itself. But there is a catch. There are five words that are Taboo to say. So for example if your secret word is "fish," you can't say "water," "animal," "seafood," "ocean" or "aquarium." If you do, the other team will "buzz" you. You've got 60 seconds to choose your words wisely.
Clue
Clue is a board game, but one that comes packed with fun and laughs. In Clue, players must move their pieces from room to room in a mansion to solve the mystery of who killed Mr. Body. The players also have to figure out with what and where. Players are each dealt a character, weapon, and location cards, after the top card from each card type is secretly placed in the confidential file in the middle of the board. Players then have to guess the character, weapon and location cards in that file. To figure out the mystery cards, during the game players must move from room to room accusing each character of the murder with a specific weapon. The player to the left must show one of any cards accused to that person if that card is in that player's hand. Through deductive reasoning, the character, weapon and location will emerge.
