Bible Relay Race
Divide the players into two teams and have them line up at a starting line. Mark another line about 15 feet from the starting line. Give the first player in each team line a Bible. When you say "Go," the players must race to the finish line and back to the starting line with the Bible in their hands. They must open the Bible and read one verse to the next player in line. He can then hand the next player in his team line the Bible to do the same thing. Have someone present to make sure each player reads a full verse. The first team to finish the relay race wins the game.
Bible Jeopardy
Make a large chart similar to a Jeopardy game board, with categories across the top and point values on the rows and columns underneath the categories. Some categories ideas include "Bible Verses, "Book Names" and "Names of Characters in the Bible." Play the game like the game of Jeopardy by awarding points for each question answered correctly and deducting points for each incorrect answer. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Bible Book Quiz
Create a Bible book quiz for each book of the Bible. Ask 10 questions from at least three different books in the Bible. Write down the questions and answers. Give each player a sheet of paper and read the questions aloud. The players must write down the answers to the questions. The player with the most correct answers wins the game and a prize. Another variation is to play this quiz game as teams by dividing the players into groups and awarding a prize to the team who answers the most questions correct.
Bible Verse Memory
Write down several Bible verses on index cards and place them face down. Divide the players into groups of three or four players. Read half of a Bible verse aloud to one of the team's and have them work together to finish the verse. If they answer correctly, they earn a point. If they answer incorrectly, they earn no points. After each team has 10 tries to complete a Bible verse, the team with the most points wins the game.
